Salsa Des Moines is proud to bring back Thursday salsa music and dance night to the hottest, most happening place on Court Avenue – DOS RIOS CANTINA AND TEQUILA LOUNGE.

Iowa’s Latino Heritage Festival

Don’t forget that this weekend is Iowa’s Latino Heritage Festival. It’s located at the Blank Park Zoo at 7401 SW 9th Street in Des Moines.

Come check out the entertainment which will include a couple of 90 minute sets by VJ Julian Serrano mixing up some Reggaeton and Latin Hip Hop, DJ Oscar playing some Regional Mexican, and DJ Sergio playing some Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and more.

Two More Salsa Nights at the Hotel Fort Des Moines

As we mentioned before, the marquis Salsa event in Des Moines has been extended for another couple of months. After having a great farewell event in July, The Hotel Fort Des Moines had made a decision to stay open a couple of months longer and asked us to host two more Salsa nights.

Mark those calendars and join Caliente and Latin Rhythmz on September 12 and October 10 at the Hotel Fort Des Moines! Latin Rhythmz will be providing the music. There will be a complimentary dance lesson at 8 PM and we’ll open up the dance floor from 9 PM to 1:30 AM.

We will have a beginner lesson start at 8:00 with Salsa Des Moines, and open dancing until 1:30 a.m.

Hola! This Friday will be a sad, sad day for us but it will be one heck of a party! The Hotel Fort Des Moines is closing down for an extended time for renovations so this will be our last dance in the Grand Ballroom! Please come out and help us celebrate all the years of dances and good times we have had there!

The night will start off at 8 p.m. with a lesson by Luisito Cabrera of Salsa Des Moines. Following the lesson, we will be opening up the dance floor for a night of dancing to music provided by Latin Rhythmz.

Last week, you all came out and made it a SUPER SALSA SATURDAY! We told you that we were not going to be at Taft’s for the next three weeks, due to previous engagements… You told us that you loved the place, the music, the atmosphere…

Well… due to POPULAR DEMAND Caliente Iowa Salsa and Latin Rhythmz are bringing it back to Taft’s this Saturday! We heard you all, and we wanted to bring what is fast becoming the premier Salsa party in Des Moines, back for another SIZZLING SATURDAY!!

Luisito wants to teach us some new Rueda moves so he will start the class at 9.

Empezaremos la fiesta a las 9 seguiremos bailando hasta la 1:30. Los DJ’s de Latin Rhythms estarán poniendo música Buena,(como Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cumbia, Chacha and Reggaetón) y también tomando sus solicitaciones.
