Song of the Day – “Tu Sonrisa” by Elvis Crespo

A little late on this one, but the song of the day is by Elvis Crespo, or as we Latinos call him Elvees Creespy.  We have not had a merengue for the song of the day, so I thought I would give this oldie some props.  Okay, so Crespo can’t really sing, in my opinion, but he writes some very good music and the musicians or on point.  This song has some rhythmz!  The beat is fast enough that it makes you wanna get down, but unlike the really fast “merengue ripiao’”, it’s slow enough to have some good melody and musicality.

Salsa Tonight At The Hotel Fort Des Moines

We will have a beginner lesson start at 8:00 with Geoff Spain, and open dancing until 1:30 a.m.
Admission $8 in advance or $10 at the door Reserve your tickets now by e-mailing Dawn at: salsagirldd@gmail.com Cash bar available (must show photo ID) LATIN RHYTHMZ will be there with great music (including your favorite Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cumbia, Cha-Cha and Reggaeton) and will be taking your request.

Latin Rhythmz Is Back!

Please forgive our long absence.  We experienced some issues with our web hosting and we had to re-create our entire site from scratch.  Anyway, we are back and better!  We have more events to tell you about and some new ways of letting you know of upcoming Latin Rhythmz events.  We are working on a Facebook medium as well as working on an email list subscription method that we will be posting soon.  Please check back soon.  Thanks for your continued support.  -Sergio
