Last night Latin Rhythmz played the music at Keysters in Urbandale, for a smashing party to celebrate the birthday of one Ruben Zamudio III, owner and dance instructor of Salsa Iowa. There was a huge turnout, there was a terrific food spread with authentic Mexican food, a chocolate fountain and tons of delicious cheesecake which Ruben himself made.

DJ Henry was spinning the tunes and I stopped by for a little bit to wish Ruben a Happy Bday and take some pics. I stopped by at 10pm and the place was packed, the music was great, the dance floor was full. It was pretty awesome! Click here for some pics or check out our complete gallery by clicking here.

Let me just say that last Friday at the Hotel Fort Des Moines was spectacular to say the least! People turned out in record numbers to party with Latin Rhythmz. Henry got things going with some oldies but goodies, I mixed in some recent stuff and as a special treat, ‘Lil Jorgie spiced things up with a hot reggaeton mix! It was pretty awesome! The crowd was great, the dancefloor was full, the drinks were flowin’! If you missed out, stayed tuned because we have been having these dances once a month and as soon as I have some more information, I will post it up right away!

Oct 31 we celebrated Halloween at Keysters with a costume party. Ruben went as “Hef”…what the?!?! Anyway, a good time was had by all.
