Not much to say today… Just listen…
It looks and sounds like hell in this YouTube clip, but this song is kick ass! Typical “Estilo Colombiano” or Colombian style Salsa! La Suprema Corte is old skool, but I love this style. As the ‘parceros’ would say… “Si señor! Arriba Colombia hijueputa!!!!!!!!!”
Well, it’s been a while since my last post, but I wanted to take this time to wish everyone a very safe and happy Holiday Season. I hope you are all getting out and doing some dancing for New Year’s Eve. I hope you all have a fantastic 2010.
With that said… the Song of the Day today comes to us from a group I wrote about once before. Africando, also known as Africando All Stars are a talented group of musicians from Senegal. These guys have some serious Latin or African flava!!
I guarantee that if you like Salsa and you like to dance, this song will make it’s way into your playlist!
I have to admit that I have only heard a couple of songs from this Puerto Rican artist, but Isaac Delgado got it right with this one! He has smooth Victor Manuelle-like vocals and the music is outstanding. I’ll let you take a listen and judge for yourself. The following is NOT the original video, but rather just a few pics over the track.
The song has kind of a slow, piano solo beginning and then goes into a soft vocal intro. Once you get into the chorus, however, you will be singing and moving your feet for sure.
Today’s song is a bachata by Domenic Marte, a.k.a Domenic M or D Marte. It starts off with a really cool track of a sort of Middle Eastern sounding voice in a typical type of chant with a classical acoustic guitar and bongos in the background. Domenic has more of soulful almost R&B type of voice, not typical of this genre, but does a really nice job with the vocals. This is a very popular song at Latin dances and a favorite for couples
Hope you like it… here is “Ven Tu”
